Optical coherence tomography (OCT) machine is a non-invasive imaging test for the retina of the eye. OCT uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of the retina.
With OCT, an Ophthalmologist can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers and map and measure their thickness. This information is used to diagnose and provide treatment for glaucoma and any diseases of the retina such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.
