An autorefractor - the most commonly used medical equipment in a ophthalmology set-up, is  a computer-controlled machine used during an eye examination to provide an objective measurement of a person's refractive error and prescription for glasses.Tonometry is a test performed commonly to measure intraocular pressure, required to test for glaucoma. Phacoemulsification machine is the most widely used for performing cataract surgery. Slit lamp most commonly requested for equipment, used in conjunction with ophthal microscope helps in studying anterior and posterior segment of the eye and diagnosis of variety of eye conditions.

Other equipment used are Field analyzer, Pachymeter, retinometer, OCT machine and Ophthalmic laser.
